Joseph SALLIS senior was buried on 26.4.1841and is shown as coming from Apperley. Ann SALLIS, his wife remarried a waterman, Jonathan GANNAWAY in 1851. James Wright Hayward MORRELL (1802-1873) was a native of Oxford and the eldest son of Baker MORRELL, a prominent attorney associated with both the University and Morrells Brewery. James married Mary Caroline STUART in 1833. Children: George Deacon MORRELL (b.1834, place unknown), apparently died young Hopewell Baker MORRELL (b.March 9, 1836 Forthampton), my g-g-grandfather, married Louisa Foote HAY, and eventually relocated to Clyro, Radnorshire. He is mentioned many times in the book Kilvert's Diary. A JP in Radnor and Berks, and Lord of the Manor of Moulsford, Berks. Mary Susanna HAY (b. May 22, 1837 Forthampton) married Col.
