The PEGLAR family of Glos., Yorks., and New Zealand
ATTENTION:
I'm a committee member of Stow-on-the-Wold Civic Society and I have been charged with the job of gaining as much information of the 'Persons' : 'History' : Civil War etc. of Stow so that we may honour / or mark the former inhabitants of Stow so that those who follow us are made more aware of the history etc. of Stow-the-Wold.
May I ask if you have any information which we could exchange and or ask if you or others could come to one of our meetings - so 95+ members - of an evening to suite and give us a 'talk' of other. What do your think?

Mr. A. Kinch, I'm trying to trace any information on the KINCH/KENCH surname in the Cotswold area, and particularly in Stow on the Wold. My GGGG Grandfather George
KENCH/ KINCH was born there according to census details in 1765. I think he may have married Susannah SMITH in 1794. If you can provide any assistance I'd be grateful.

Paul Allen. My main area of research is in Stow on the Wold, Broadwell particularly with the HODGKINS family, my mumÕs family. Paul Allen. Elizabeth HAINES married John HODGKINS in 1857. He died a few years later and she remarried George TEAL. John's sister Mary I believe married Charles HAINES. Charles and Elizabeth's father was Thomas HAINES but I am not sure where they came from.

Barry was born the 30 July 1941 son of James Alfred WATTS and Sarah Ann PICKARD (marr, 16 April 1906, Bedworth, Wark`s. James Alfred WATTS was bp; 27 April 1872 at Kenilworth, Wark`s, son of Richard James WATTS and Ann Eliza CLARIDGE (Marr, 29 April 1858 Stoneleigh, Wark`s). Richard James WATTS was born around 1834 somewhere in Gloucestershire ?, he was the son of Samuel WATTS and Charlotte WEBB (Marr, 27 Sep 1834, Stow on the Wold). Samuel WATTS was bp;19 May 1810 at Icomb son of Thomas WATTS and Mary ?.
