The 1891 census shows the following John HANDS 37 Blacksmith Shipston on Stour. Matilda HANDS (nee SALE) 39 Ebrington, Gertrude 11, Ellen 9, Kate 6 John , William 2 all born in Shipston on Stour. There appears to be 3 generations of John HANDS (Blacksmiths) who probably traded from New Street in Shipston going back to the 1851 census. Anyone researching this name?
