Alan Treherne researching the TREHERNE family in the Dymock/Bromsberrow Heath area going back to late 18th century. Spelling variants include TREHERNE, TREHEARNE, TREEHURN
alan.treherne @btinternet.com
Margaret Hayon (nee HOME), researching the HILL and WEBLEY (WEOBLEY / WEBBLEY etc) familes. My ggrandmother Tryphena HILL was born at Brooms Green, Dymock, in 1870. Her father John HILL was born at Eastnor, Hereford, in 1834, and her mother Emma WEBLEY at Dymock in 1836. John and Emma were married in Dymock Parish Church on 26 April 1855, and had 7 children. The family lived at various times in Bromsberrow Heath, Brooms Green and Ryton. My ggm Tryphena moved to Bristol in the 1890s, and died in 1930. My mother (born 1918, died 2000) had happy childhood memories of visiting her grandmother's family in Bromsberrow / Dymock in the 1920s. I would love to make connection with any livingÊdistant cousins I might still have in that area!
At the moment I'm trying to trace Emma's line, particularly her mother's side. Her father was John WEBLEY, and her mother Ann Maria [maiden name?]. In the 1851 Dymock census, Ann Maria was a widow, aged 55, birthplace "Cholers Gls".
