Pamela Wells, research interests: Joseph
BARWICK (b. Oxford 1790) m. Martha Green CARRUTHERS (b.1795 Oxford), at St. Mary Magdalene Church, Oxford, June 23, 1813. Joseph and Martha had five children - Martha Susan bap. February 16, 1814 St. Peter Bailey, Oxford and the following being baptised at All Saints, Oxford. Joseph August 27, 1815; Eliza March 6, 1817; Julia November 15, 1818; John October 1, 1820. The family seem to have moved to London because Joseph (senior) died suddenly in 1827. Have not been able to confirm that Oxford was in fact birth place of Joseph and Martha.
