THORNDELL baptized 14 Feb 1695 in Lower Guiting. About 1715 he served as a covenant servant for 3 years to Mr Charles HAYWARD, a gentleman residing at Hyde in the parish of Upper Guiting. Meryl Cowdell, I am interested in the
TIMBRELL family, Paul TIMBRELL born in Alderton in 1852 (this I already know because I have his birth certificate), his father was named James TIMBRELL, at the time of his death, he was living in Gretton (1869) his occupation was something that looks like 'allortman on the turnpike road' does anyone know what this was or where it could have been? James TIMBRELL was I believe born about 1809 in Guiting Power. His father was John TIMBRELL born I believe in Clapton, married to Ann.

Ann Graham, researching the GREEN (Thomas & Ann ) family all dates. Thomas & Ann are both buried at the Baptist Chapel. Two of the sons (Charles & George) of above came to Australia as Bounty Immigrants in the 1841. Eliza GREEN married a MITCHELL who she had two children with before becoming a widow. My husband is related to both Charles & George, their children married. At the moment I'm trying to find out if the house they lived in still stands.

Elsie Woods. My great aunt Harriet
WALKER was married to John WALKER they lived in the old manor house in St. Michaels Church, Guiting Power, there are three stained glass windows dedicated to them. The family are buried in the churchyard. On the 1881 census John was 56 years old Harriet was 39, they had 9 children: John b.1863, Amy Victoria Georgina b.1864, Ada b.1865, Louisa b.1867, Thomas Reginald b.? Edwin b.1870 Charles b.1873, Nellie b.1875, Emily b 1877, Minnie b.1876. John WALKER Senior was described as king of the cotswolds. I would be thrilled to have contact with someone.
