Ian Stanley, I am descended from Thomas STANLEY & Hannah who had children in the villageof Snowshill in the 1750s & 1760s. Craig Sanderson, researching my family name, or one of them anyway. My great grand father was born in Buckland / Laverton area. His name was Arthur George Emmanual STEVENS. Born 20-12-1883 Married to a Grace Lillian VOSS in Heanor Derbyshire in 1907 BUT His father was George STEPHENS we dont know how the name got changed, probably some civil servant could not spell but on the birth certificate it is STEPHENS. His father was George STEPHENS DbB unknown His mother was Rosa WIGGETT DoB unknown
