WOOLNOUGH and HAREWELL, also possibly SPIRE. Zebulon HAREWELL the 3rd died at Willesley in 1843 of tuberculosis, aged 33. His family came from Trouble House Inn at Cherington, and we have no idea why he was here at his death. His sister Mary Ann WOOLNOUGH (nee HAREWELL) was living at Knockdown at the time, and this couple had dealings with the WINDOW / WINBOW family, leasing land from them and perhaps acting as innkeepers.

Geoff Sreeves, My mother's maiden name was
CLAYFIELD. I can trace her family back to Thomas CLAYFIELD, born 1782, probably in Stroud, and I have found references to CLAYFIELDS living in several Gloucestershire villages, including copper plaques in Minchinhampton churchyard in memory of William and Patience CLAYFIELD (she died 1775 aged 66), their son Thomas who died 1773, and daughter Jane who died 1765, Minchinhampton.
