PAMELA LAMBERT-BARNES

ABOUT  the BARNES  CAREER  CRAFTS

This is my craft/project page. I love to embroider and like to knit, jog (and sometimes enter races) read, sew, bake, organize and re-organize, scrapbook and decorate.

Now I know some of those things don't sound crafty but they actually spark craft. Like re-organizing my living space leads to sewing new pillows and upholstery covers.

And jogging inspires huge creativity in me. This April I have pounded the pavement for over 6 hours and clocked almost 60 km! During those runs, I've thought about a few projects that need sewing up (like the pun?) and I am itching to start doing some needle work in the evenings now that my house doesn't have to look show quality ready.

Just have to figure out a way to keep my Oonah's little paws out of my crafting boxes but at the ready for a quick stitch here and there! She is such a cute happy baby!

May 18th - I was in Nanaimo recently and picked up a new embroidery project. Will take a pic and upload...

Weaving project through Place des Arts in Maillardville

This is my second course which started in April'ish. I am excited to finally be working on the project of which I had in mind many months ago. This is a long weekend, and I have brought home the loom and will apply myself diligently (aside from tonight where I am updating my website).

Class is going well. Really enjoy chatting with the other women and watching their "Round Robin" projects.

My supplies, loom (set up and ready to start weaving...)

My Project begins... I am going for an abstract landscape - with ocean colors and inspiration from Tony Onley.
