Sunday April 24th 2011 - Lots of updates so hit the shift key and reload to make sure you are seeing all the new content!!!

Hey, thanks for visiting my personal website. I didn't keep my website current in 2010 because I was pretty absorbed with a big change to my family life...

Glenn and I happily welcomed baby Oonah Snow Barnes into our life on Wednesday February 3rd 2010.

She is truly a delight! Unfortunately, you wont catch images of her on this site as I do not believe in circulating images without her consent. Sorry! And she is sooo gorgeous and smiley!

As with every year I write out my goals but this year feels a little more exciting because I will be juggling my baby, (well I guess she's a toddler, now) while achieving my dreams. This year has some great goals and I have super energy to bring them to fruition!

One of my goals is to post whats keeping me busy: which will include my crafts, courses through BCIT and home life. I have some re-organization to do on my site but hopefully by Spring, it will be looking spiffy! (I think it is coming along!!)

BIOGRAPHY

Pamela hails from Victoria, the City famous for thinking it is more English than England. She began her work career at age sixteen, with a national office supply chain. Her desire to gain experience and advance in the business world motivated her to seek openings and assume several positions within the company. Realizing she had a strong appreciation for the arts and concluding eight years with the office supply chain, Pamela decided her future was to operate her own Art Gallery.

To gain practical experience and extensive knowledge within the industry, she flew to London, England. She quickly obtained a position with Sotheby’s, the Auction House, as an Export Co-Ordinator.
Her years within the Export & Import Department brought familiarity with a vast array of fine works of art; from Old Masters to 20th Century Paintings, Fine Silver, Jewellery and Ceramics to European Furniture and Sculpture.

She broadened her repertoire within this culturally rich envionment and gained a strong foundation to evaluate works of art.

A holiday visit to Vancouver in December, 1999 introduced Mr. Barnes into Pamela’s life. She returned permanently to Vancouver in mid 2000 and extended her training under the Antique Art Dealer Uno Langmann Ltd. on Granville Street. Lambert’s Gallery & Shop was established in Kerrisdale in December ‘03. Within two years the collection broadened to include sculpture and furniture and represented artists from across Canada.

Pamela moved the gallery to a bigger location on Granville Street in February ‘06. After four years of operation, the gallery is now closed.
