This page is here to save myself the time it takes to answer these most commonly asked questions via e-mail.
  1. Q: Do I build cars for other people?
A: No, I only build cars for myself.

  2. Q: Do I have bodywork for the 962/904 for sale?
A: Yes, I have the molds for both 962 and 904 bodywork.

  3. Q: Do I have a price list for the parts that I manufacture (that I can e-mail)?
A: No, I prefer to deal with serious inquiries in person by phone and will e-mail my phone number to such inquiries. I figure that if you can't drop a dime to phone, then you certainly can't afford to build one of these cars.

  4. Q: Do I have any plans or drawings I can send to interested parties? (see below)
A: You have a better chance of getting them from Porsche AG.

  5. Q: Do I build monocoques or tube frame chassis to order?
A: I no longer build any monocoques or tube frame chassis' for the 962, I will be building a new tube frame chassis for my 904 and may be persuaded to build a few more if the demand is there and time allows.

  6. Q:Can these cars be made legal for the street?
A:Yes, these cars have turn signals, headlights, and brake/running lights but the 962 is designed to run with 55mm of ground clearance and I don't know why anyone would want to drive this car on the street as it would be very impractical. The 904 on the other hand would make a good street vehicle.

  7. Q: How much does it cost to build one of these cars?
A: That would depend on what kind of engine/gearbox you decide to use and how much you wanted to customize/accessorize it to you own tastes, the very reason I won't build cars for anyone else. To get started you're looking at between $55-65K USD.

  8. Q: Can I modify the bodywork to fit an existing production car chassis?
A: Not likely as it would require too much work, one would be better off building a tube frame chassis to fit the bodywork.

  9. Q: What are the dimensions of the completed car?
A: Exactly the same as a factory original 962, 39" high, 78" wide with a 110" wheelbase. The 904 would also have the same dimensions as original.

  10. Q: What is the difference between the 956 and 962?
A: The main difference between the 956 and 962 is the wheelbase, as the 962 was lengthened to keep the drivers feet behind the front axle centreline as per IMSA regulations. The 962 wheelbase is approximately 5 inches longer. There were other differences with the use of different displacement engines and turbo configurations but cosmetically the main difference was the wheelbase. Both the 956 and 962 were aluminum monocoque construction.

  11. Well, that's all I can think of for now, but if anyone has a question not answered here, e-mail me from the link below and I'll answer it and post it to this page.
