Who, What, Where, Why game for Windows
There are several windows in WhoWhatWhereWhy
(the game we used to play as kids-but fun for adults too):
The Who? What? Where? Why? window:
You can type in phrases for each text window. At
the end of each phrase click the Enter key to separate the them. When you
have completed these you can then save them using the File menu -- this will
automatically overwrite any file with the same name with the .rtf extension
(rich text file). You can have up to 1000 phrases for each text window.
Whenever you want these phrases again just load the file using Load in the Edit menu.
Click the 'Finalize Word' button to include all the phrases for the main function of the program, namely, to make random sentences of these phrases. Whenever you change the phrases, either by typing into the text windows or by loading a file you must click this button. This gives you the option of changing the phrases, but still using the ones you had previously.
The, click the 'Make random sentence'. This will randomly combine the phrases in a 'who' 'what' 'who again' 'where' why' sentence structure. This will be displayed in another window for perusal. Often the sentence will make no sense, but whenever you like what it says you can then click the 'Keep' button which will collect the sentences you want to keep in another summary window. This summary window can be saved in a file that can be loaded into the summary window sometime in the future (more sentences can then be added). This summary window can also be printed out. Also the font, font size, etc. can be changed.
In all parts of the WhoWhatWhereWhy you can have a voice speak the text. You can vary the speed, pitch, and range of loudness (volume). The talking can be stopped or paused and resume
The screen font, font size, etc. can be changed anytime using the Font menu. You can print all or selected highlighted parts of the text by using "print" in the File menu.
Information repeats this page. The Author part of the Information menu will give some of my personal things, by showing and speaking.
In all parts of the WhoWhatWhereWhy it is easy to select all, copy, cut, paste, or delete by highlighting and clicking the right mouse button in the box you want.
A simple example with only 3 choices in each category is supplied as try1.rtf. Click here to download it when at my site.
