Talking Graphing Calculator Program:

The following Talking program likely works best in WindowsXP or Windows Vista using a Screen resolution of 1024 by 768 or higher.

The Talking Graphing Calculator is designed to be used in two ways:  The main way is for a person with no vision using only the keyboard. Another way is for a person with normal vision using the buttons and other controls in the windows. 

Both are integrated in all the four windows in this program.  Because of this integration a person with partial vision can use both ways.

The keyboard way is to use two letters to call up functions and commands.  For some commands one character, and for some functions three characters are required. 

There are four Windows in this program. - A Calculator Window and an Information Window for it, and an Equation to Graph Window and an Information window for it. 

This program consists of two files:

(1) Talking Graphing Calculator.zip  (59 kB)

(2) Interop.ACTIVEVOICEPROJECTLib.dll  (44 kB)

To download these two files simply click the right mouse button when the mouse is over each of the file names above to get a menu and you may click on Save Target As ... in this menu, and save both files in the same folder.

The second file is the speech helper file and must be in the same folder as the first file for it to work!

After downloading simply click on the .zip program to run the software.  Make sure your speakers are on.

There is also another file called 'some_notes.htm' that summarizes the basic workings of the program.  It is also included in part of one of the Information parts of the program, but it might be convenient to save and open it to read outside the program.

There may still be problems such as spelling errors and the voice
overlapping another voice, but these are easy to fix.
If you do run this program I would appreciate any suggestions, criticisms
and additions wanted.

Since I do this kind of programming for fun, I would appreciate any feedback.
