Pronger, the star defenseman acquired from St. Louis last month, opened the scoring with a power-play goal midway through the first period and assisted on Marc-Andre Bergeron's power-play goal in the third.
Ethan Moreau also scored for the Oilers (3-2-1), who will face the Flames (3-2-1) again Wednesday night in Calgary. The Flames played without captain Jarome Iginla.
