EDMONTON, Alberta (AP) -- Radek Dvorak scored the only goal in the shootout and Alex Hemsky finished with two goals to lead the Edmonton Oilers to a 5-4 victory over the Vancouver Canucks in an exhibition game on Wednesday night.

Dvorak was the fifth shooter for the Oilers (2-1-1), who had their third shootout in four preseason games.

Edmonton's Mike Peca scored with three minutes left in the third period to send the game to overtime. Ethhan Moreau returned from a strained neck to post a goal and an assist.

Ed Jovanovski, Lee Goren, Josh Green and Daniel Sedin scored for the Canucks, who were playing their first game.

Vancouver scored three power-play goals on 12 shots against Ty Conklin in the first period.

Goren scored in the first minute, with Jovanovski both scoring and then setting up Green on a two-man advantage.

Todd Bertuzzi did not play for the Canucks in his first eligible game since the NHL lifted his 17-month suspension for a vicious hit on Colorado's Steve Moore in April 2004.

Vancouver was without a host of regulars, including captain Markus Naslund, center Brendan Morrison, winger Trevor Linden, goaltender Dan Cloutier and defenseman Mattias Ohlund.

Edmonton outshot Vancouver 34-28 and finished 1-for-11 on the power play while the Canucks were 3-for-10 with the man advantage.

Sedin scored off a shot that went in off Conklin's back in the third period.

The teams played five minutes of scoreless four-on four overtime.
