Digital images

These images were taken with a Konica Minolta Maxxum 7D digital SLR. It is a 6.1 MP DSLR with anti-shake built into the camera body. It takes the four lenses I use with my Maxxum film cameras. My main film camera is the 7D's film predecessor, the Maxxum 7. E-mail me if you would like more information.

These bald eagle images were taken on August 19 at the Alberta Birds of Prey Centre in Coaldale, Alberta. It just happens to be across the street (and one block east) from our house.

This is Lincoln, a male bald eagle at the Birds of Prey Centre. He cooperates quite well for pictures.

There are several birds at the centre that are tethered during the day. Staff are most accommodating and will allow photographers to step over the low chain fence and walk within about 3 meters of the birds. (You have to ask first.)

With careful positioning and attention to backgrounds  these "bust" shots of Lincoln were possible.
