Parents-to-be and mothers/fathers of infants and toddlers are welcome. Members of our special interest group do *not* need to become active in our advocacy. Instead, they can choose to sit back and enjoy the social aspects of our group and flow of useful information. The advocacy can be left up to the executive committee, but mothers will be asked to provide feedback or opinions from time to time. For security reasons, new members will have to speak with one of the volunteer members, unless they can be recommended by a current member. This can be arranged by contacting us via email or attending one of the park visits listed on the events page of this website.

Due to the feedback from moms on our list, we are restricting subscription to our email lists to parents only. That is, nurses, class instructors, retailers, etc., are not invited at this time, but are most welcome - and even encouraged - to forward information to Valerie to pass onto members should it seem relevant to our interests.

What about fathers? Please contact Valerie to discuss starting a group for fathers in Oak Bay - she has created the email list for fathers so it's ready to go. A volunteer to take over the moderation (minimal attention required) would be appreciated.
