- Tribute to Red Robinson: Red Robinson
was a definite influence on just about every kid who ever went to a broadcasting school in
the Northwest - including me. He had that touch. His voice launched a thousand
careers and fueled in us a love for a medium everybody else seems to take for
granted. I used to listen to his show on CKWX and CISL. His sound was so much
a part of my life. I went and bought copies of his interview albums with Elvis
Presley and The Beatles. I always wanted to play music and share a knowledge of the
artists the way only Red Robinson could. Thank you Red for over 40 years of fun and
great music and for showing us all what this thing called rock-n-roll is all about. -
