In Memory Of Those Who Have Made An Impact On Our Sobriety

Anne L was one of the first women to walk through the doors of our
fellowship in New York in the early days of AA. She passed on to be with her
HP in November 2 years ago. The meeting she started in East Hampton, NY,
where I came in, is still active. Anne lived to be 88 and had 46 years of
continuous sobriety, devoted to service to her fellow AA's. She was the most
loving, kind, understanding, forgiving, generous woman I ever knew. I miss
her very much. She gave herself in service until the end of her life. She
was a giver. She loved AA, "those beautiful steps" as she called them, and
the people in it. Her natal birthday was Valentine's Day, February 14. Her
AA anniversary was in September.
