This nude has a bold, sensual feel - it reminds me of Marylin Monroe in its sexiness. I was inspired by the drawings of Matisse in that this painting has such free, instinctive lines and movement... It is a very striking painting/drawing. The ink line brush drawing is spontaneous and raw and very expressive. The acrylic paint is bright and vibrant and gives the painting texture. There are many different shades and tones of reds, pinks, orange, yellow and other colors in the painting. The heavy weight paper shows through in many places providing additional texture and interest. This painting is on paper so you will have to have it framed under glass (it is sold without a frame). You can get quite a different 'look' with different frames - see some examples below.
