This blue nude has a very relaxed and abstracted pose and a delicate face. The colors in this painting are rich and suptuous and the shapes are fluid and sensual. I created the lines of the body with a Chinese ink brush using liquid acrylic paints that have a bit of shine and contrast with the roughness of the canvas that shows through in some places and the washes and the thicker acrylic paint application in other places, giving the feel of texture and depth to the painting.

I created the painting using multiple layers of high-quality acrylic paints. The colors are bright and vibrant and there are many different hues of pure colors, including turquoise blue, green, orange, ochre, violets and other colors that a photo cannot fully capture. If you like the photo you will love the painting! The colors you see also depend on your computer's monitor settings. The painting's colors depend on the color and intensity of the light that illuminates the painting and different illumination (daylight, evening light, spotlight) will emphasize different hues and tones of colors in the painting.
