This nude has very graceful, feminine lines that contrast with the texture and raw intensity of the paint application. The woman's face is delicate and it somehow reminds me of the nudes of Matisse even thought I was really inspired by the nudes of the Renaissance. I created this painting almost in a subconscious, 'trance' state and because of that it has a strong sense of movement and a feeling of freedom. It is a dramatic painting with a strong 'presence'. The abstraction allows you to 'create' the nude for yourself - the feelings, perceptions and emotions you experience when looking at the painting will be unique to you.

I created the painting using multiple layers of high-quality acrylic paints. The colors are bright and vibrant and there are many different hues of pure colors, including blues, violets and purples and glazes of deep turquoise green that a photo cannot capture. If you like the photo you will love the painting! The colors you see also depend on your computer's monitor settings. The painting's colors depend on the color and intensity of the light that illuminates the painting and different illumination (daylight, evening light, spotlight) will emphasize different hues and tones of colors in the painting.
