This reclining blue nude is very feminine and exotic, with a sensual pose and a mysterious expression. The rich, vibrant colors contrast with the black ink background and give this painting texture.
It is a very striking painting/drawing. The ink line brush drawing is spontaneous and raw and very expressive. The acrylic paint is bright and vibrant and gives the painting texture. There are many different shades and tones of blues, turquoise, purple, pink, green and other colors in the painting. The heavy weight paper shows through in many places providing additional texture and interest. This painting is on paper so you will have to have it framed under glass (it is sold without a frame). You can get quite a different 'look' with different frames - see some examples below.
