I love the profile of this nude - she just happened to me - I use a big Chinese ink brush for the lines, put the paper on the floor and paint while standing (bending over the paper) - it gives me more freedom of movement. It is almost like dancing and sometimes these fluid shapes just appear on the paper - it feels like I am just holding the brush and something moves my hand. It is in those moments that I feel a touch of connection to the great artists like Picasso and Matisse - as if there was some kind of 'universal artistic psyche'. I think this nude looks Asian. She is minimalist and quietly, softly beautiful.....

It is a very striking painting/drawing. The ink line drawing is spontaneous and raw and very expressive. The acrylic paint is bright and vibrant and gives the painting texture. The heavy weight paper shows through in many places providing additional texture and interest. This painting is on paper so you will have to have it framed (it is sold without a frame). You can get quite a different 'look' with different frames - see some examples below.
