I'm
Reading...
(Refresh
for new content) I picked up Mark Haddon's novel--the curious incident of the dog in the night-time--at Munro's last evening, and am well into this delightful story told from the perspective of Christopher, an autistic child who's a mathematical genius and relates well to dogs, but not people. Summer in Victoria is the beach. I've been trying to stay away from the computer as much as possible, in order to winnow away at the pile of fiction that's been accumulating. This week, I've finally gotten around to Yann Martel's Life of Pi, and am enjoying it immensely as I keep my never-straying eyes glued to the text. It's been some time since I updated this section, and I won't attempt to fill in the blanks. Right now, I'm reading and thoroughly enjoying Azar Nafisi's memoir, "Reading Lolita in Tehran." It's both ennobling and encouraging, and I'd highly recommend it.
