Hi, my name is
Peggy or Peg.
Welcome to my site. Some of you already know,
I have single parented 2 wonderful now grown son 24 and daughter
20; loves of my life. Harry is the very special man
with whom I also share my life, the wonderful outdoors, camping
and GEOCACHING. I love him dearly :-) and someday we will join our
households.. The youngest member
of the family is a 9 year old Aussie Cattle Dog/Aussie Blue Stumpy
Cross whom I adore. She is attempting to recuperate from a
torn rear knee, time will tell. I have been a right below knee
amputee for 8 years now, walk with a prosthesis and obviously
function well with working and all my other activities.
It is not what you have lost but what you do with what you have
left!
I have
tons of interests:
hiking, cycling, camping, gardening, mountain flowers, volunteering,
geocaching , wildlife preservation,
watercolor painting and
writing. Proudly my poetry writings have
given me semi finalist status with various online contests.
A taste of my writings.
Giving to the community is very important to me too as just short of
eight years was spent as webmaster and designer of a government
supported disability website as well I gave two and a half years as
editor of their disability magazine. My goodness that was a whole
lot of volunteer hours! Many warm memories :-). Wine making and photography
are my
next challenges. Fortunately, with participating in such a sport as
geocaching I visit many beautiful places where incredible
vistas can be captured. I find continued learning makes life
exciting, don't you think?
My most favorite place
on earth is "Kananaskis Country." Besides Kananaskis I
love the Olympic Peninsula and Puerto Vallarta. If my biggest dream was
to come true, I would live in a cottage in
the foothills or right in the mountains, themselves. I love
diet coke, Olive Garden salads, a steak BBQ by Harry,
Pink Floyd and Rod Stewart! The things that fill my weekends are camping,
geocaching, fun moments with friends drinking Arbor Mist around a
camp fire, gazing at night stars, early mornings
hearing the whooshing of eagles and large birds overhead and finding
peace ......:-) My favorite colors are green, orange and
the bright blue of the sky. I collect Inukshuks and love bears
as they hold a special place in my heart. I have an
interesting story to share and will finish my book.
Closing.... Life
is good as I have found my peace :-)
