If you would like to make some new childfree friends by forming a NO
KIDDING! chapter in your city, please write to us and request a startup
information packet. The packet that you will receive consists of a description
of NO KIDDING!, our members and activities, suggestions to make starting and
running a chapter easier, and a proposed agenda for your first meeting. We'll
also include a list of any people near you who have contacted us over the years
(along with their contact information, of course), and a mini-poster that
members put up in workplaces, community centers, libraries, transit vehicles,
apartment buildings, supermarkets, etc.; simply adapt it for your own use.
Additionally, we will publicize your chapter's existence, and we'll refer all
future inquiries to you.
To get your startup information packet, please send us -- to NO
KIDDING!, Box 2802, Vancouver, BC, Canada V6B 3X2 -- a check or money
order (DO NOT SEND CASH!) for US $50 (or foreign equivalent)
--which you can reimburse yourself from membership fees/donations, made
out to "NO KIDDING!" (not to Jerry Steinberg, please), to
help defray advertising, phone, printing, domain name, website, and
postal expenses -- expenses that no other chapter has. Please include your
return mailing address, phone number(s) and e-ddress(es) (if you have e-mail).
The non-refundable $50 isn't only to pay for the startup
information packet, but also for the right to use our name, to be able to use "chaptername@nokidding.net"
as your e-ddress, to be represented by and publicized by Chapter One, to be
able to communicate with all of our chapters simultaneously, and for ongoing
advice and assistance. Please keep in mind that NO KIDDING! is not a
business, but we do have operating expenses, nonetheless.
All chapters pay a $24 annual membership fee beginning in their second year to continue as an active chapter in NO KIDDING!
