If there are no chapters near you, and if you are truly interested in making some new childfree friends, then you will probably want to start your own chapter (as it is probably the best way -- if not the only way -- of meeting other childfree people). So, you have the choice of joining an existing NO KIDDING! chapter, waiting for someone to start one near you (and hope that you hear about it), or starting your own. You may find, though, that if you wait for others to take action, nothing gets done because, it often turns out, they were waiting for you.
