3. What kinds of activities does NO KIDDING! have?

Our members and non-members organize three to eight social activities a month -- most of which are smoke-free -- where we talk about careers, books, pets, studies, movies, travels, recipes, interests, our jobs, current events, sex, politics and religion ... but rarely, if ever, about children. It's not that the topic of children is taboo, it's simply not an issue with us.

It's highly unlikely that you'll ever be asked whether you have children, and it's even more unlikely that you'll ever be asked why you don't.

Some past activities include: hikes; wine & cheese parties; water skiing; art galleries; pajama parties; meteor watching; Holiday lights; movies; whale watching; go-karting; plays; professional football games; picnics; Robbie Burns night; white-water rafting; board games; snowshoeing; restaurant dinners; sailing; county/state fairs (such as the Pacific National Exhibition); dancing; cycling; museums; bowling; pumpkin carving; Halloween parties; comedy clubs; wall-climbing; swimming; comedy nights (where people share their favorite comedy records, CDs, videotapes, DVDs, and/or cassettes); horseback riding; foosball tournaments; pool parties; white-water rafting; cajun crab boil; a cookie exchange; world cuisine dinners; indy films; pitch 'n' putt; snow tubing; in-line skating; live theater; wine-making; Hors d'oeuvres and Dessert Parties; canoeing; classical music evenings; Christmas parties; barbecues; Blues Nights; Bunko parties; Euchre parties; an annual pre-New Year's Eve party; a Dream Cruise party; pottery making; "Take Your Child to Work" hooky day; Kennel Club dog show; IMAX Theater trips; participating in interactive theater (Tony N Tina's Wedding); trip to the Barnum Kaleidoscape Circus; "Blessing of the Bikes" motorcycle outings; billiards; beer-making; investment discussions; New Year's parties; tennis; wine tastings; Rock 'n' Roll parties; camping; professional baseball games; water slides; ice skating; Fall Foliage Hikes; house parties; Very Softball games (we use a rubber ball); pizza parties; Very Big Football games (where the "football" is an inflated waterbed mattress); comedy nights; miniature golf; hot-air ballooning; professional hockey games; Valentine's parties; helicopter tours; Irish dancing; ping-pong parties; the almost-annual yard sale & barbecue; concerts; soaring; cheese and chocolate fondue parties; professional basketball games; pot luck dinners; charades; kayaking; Scottish dancing; discussion and debate sessions (one in English and one in French); skiing; casinos; our monthly "Second Saturday Supper" and "Final Friday Feast" ... and we're always open to suggestions.

Sometimes, we go dancing...
