THE NANAIMO FLYING CLUB
PRESENTS:

NFC FLY-IN 2005
OUR BIGGEST AND BEST YETPlease consider this an open invitation to join us at our 35th annual Fly-in on the first weekend of June, 2005. That is June 4 and 5.
It seems that every year our fly in gets bigger and better, and this year will be no exception. We will be starting off on Saturday with a poker run, stay tuned for the prize list as we accumulate it. In addition to our world class pig roast this year we will be having some world class entertainment afterwards, check back for details.
The pig roast is being catered by the staff of Timberlands Pub and will include the BBQ pork, hip of beef, 3 salads, and dessert.
Airports for Poker Run: tentatively- Boundary Bay, Courtenay, Giles Bay, Sechelt, Qualicum, and Nanaimo. Entrants can start at any one of these airports, but must finish at Nanaimo. $5.00 per hand.
Camping on field is encouraged, floor space in the club is available on a first come, first served basis, and some of our members would be willing to loan out a cot or a couch if you let us know soon enough. There are several motels and Bed and Breakfast units within 5 miles if that is more to your liking. If you require more information about motels or local attractions e-mail me at wefly4fun@shaw.ca There is an 18 hole golf course next to the airport, car rentals on site and bungie jumping close by.
On Sunday we will be opening the club grounds to the public so that we can show off our aircraft, and our flying skills. Pancake breakfast starts at 08:30 - cost $5.00 (Warbird pilots and passengers are free). Lunch starts at noon. Burgers and hot dogs.
