| THE NARCOLEPTIC VIDEOGRAPHER is a short-film producing, comedy collective based out of Vancouver, Canada. Formed in early 2000, the troupe is the brainchild of a group of actors, writers, filmmakers and musicians. Birthed by Kevin Spenst and mid-wifed by Lo-Fibre Films, the Narcoleptic Videographer has grown into an upstanding and contributing member of society. Often found walking that delicate line between high comic art and outright indulgent buffoonery, the Narcoleptic Videographer is watching.
The Narcoleptic Videographer has produced three collections of video shorts. With a signature blend of guerrilla film aesthetics, visceral cutting and entirely improvised dialogue, the Narco shorts seek humour in character details and situational absurdity rather than set-up punch lines ... No rehearsals, scripts or rules – just cameras, actors and madness. All three collections originally played at the legendary Blinding Light!! Cinema and also included live comedy and music acts. |
