This show
was marked by the untimely death of Princess Diana that very
day. In true form, this was incorporated into the show in the
form of some remarks by Mr. Fist which many found to be in very
poor taste.
Rock
made his second appearance wearing a long black wig and cowboy
hat and going around offering chips to the audience during the
show. He eventually joined the band on stage for a rousing rendition
of The Stooges "Real Cool Time". The
Wookie and The Unnecessary Musician
also made their presence known for the first time by shouting
obscenities to the band all night long. Their efforts were rewarded
when the band bought them drinks after the show and thus they
became near permanent fixtures at virtually all the subsequent
Mysterons shows.
The final
insult to the evening came when, during the set by Coal, a well
known promoter in Vancouver proceeded to masturbate while lying
on his back in the middle of the dance floor. Something strange
was certainly in the air!
