This was
a rare opportunity where The Mysterons were given free reign
for the night. The prerecorded music, the videos and the opening
acts were all selected by the band to create an evening of unusual
"entertainment".
The opening
act, The Laura Jane Culhane Trio kicked things off with a set
that can only be described as "transcendental". The
audience was then treated to the presence of Sux the Clown,
a vagrant that was pulled off the street to tell jokes to the
baffled crowd. The Mysterons then took the stage accompanied
by the Wheels film playing in the
background.
The show
was planned as a full moon performance and had been booked on
a Friday the 13th when the moon would be full. In keeping with
this theme, a "full moon" contest was held and audience
members were encouraged to show their best moon.
