The Fanny Sideburns Experience was started in 1988. Fanny was basically a "fuck band" with a penchant for very short and brutally obscene recordings. Buzzed out guitars tended to dominate the mix along with Velvet's off the cuff and lurid vocals.

This collection of recordings is broken down into three sections. The first section (tracks 1 - 11) was recorded in 1989 and was to have been a self titled cassette EP. The second set (tracks 12 - 20) was done in 1990 and was to have been another cassette EP called Hard Ass Smokie. The third section represents some stray tracks from both sessions with some demos with Bobby Vegas on manually played drum machine (tracks 22, 23 & 24).
