Scholarships
In order to qualify for a Scholarship in the Saskatoon Music Festival you must
compete in two classes of the same discipline. Please note, many of the classes in the local
Addenda do not count towards your qualifications. Please read the syllabus and the Addenda very carefully.

NOTES:
1) In order to be eligible for an award or scholarship at the Saskatoon
music festival, the entrant must:
a) have been a resident of Saskatoon (70 km range)
for a minimum of a 5 month period prior to registration,
OR
b) have studied regularly with a teacher who is a
resident of Saskatoon (70 km range ) for a minimum of a 5 month period prior to registration,
OR
c) have proof that Saskatoon (70 km range) is their
permanent residence if he/she is studying elsewhere.
2)
In all senior open classes in order to be eligible for a scholarship or award the entrant must
not be over the age of 28 for instrumental solo classes and must not be over the age of 33 for vocal solo
classes.
3) In order to qualify for a district scholarship or award, each individual named on the entry form must enter and compete in at least two classes in the same discipline (excluding the National Class) when it is evident that there is provision of suitable
classes from which to choose. Instrumentalists must compete in two classes on
the same instrument. This rule does not apply to the pianist in the lieder classes.
