In Vancouver Every Wednesday: Dyad Night
Dyad Night has been going for 27 years. It is open to anyone interested in this work. We do two dyads followed by a short sharing circle. We meet every Wednesday evening 7:30 - 9:45. The address is 535 West 10th Avenue. The entrance is from the lane between Broadway and 10th Avenue; (the cross streets are Cambie and Ash). Parking is available, (but do not park in spaces labeled TSI Travel). Cost is $5.00. All are very welcome. |
A Love Contemplation Weekend
Friday, Saturday and Sunday, March 2, 3, 4; 7:15 AM to 9:30 PM.
At Stanley Park Pavillion
Cost $140 plus a donation to the Stephen Lewis Foundation for easing the pain of Aids in Africa
On
this weekend we will explore ourselves in relationship to the reality of love.
This is a lovely thing to do,- mostly. But it is deep work. We will encounter
what blocks our ability to experience and express Love. Being truthful about
our moment by moment experience will move us beyond our concepts and into
the non conceptual presence of Love.
We will be working with one another in pairs, or dyads. In each dyad, one
person will open up to what Love is for them, and then communicate what they
experience to a listening partner. After a short time, the roles reverse.
Going back and forth between listening and contemplating roles, we will dedicate
the weekend to opening up to the Truth of Love; and to raising funds to help
ease the suffering of HIV AIDS in AFRICA.
As far as the donation to the Stephen Lewis Foundation is concerned: you are free to give according to your ability. A separate charge of $120 will apply to assist with the costs of the venue and meals.

About Longer Intensives For many people three-day Enlightenment Intensives end just when they are starting to get interesting. On the final day participants often find themselves in a new realm, one where contemplation is no longer foreign or forced but spontaneous, natural and real. The dyads flow on a deeper level. Contact is profound. The power and significance of the work have become self-evident. But then the Intensive comes to an end. Formality and discipline lift; contemplation subsides and participants begin to contract out of the expanded state they were just beginning to enjoy. A seven or eight-day intensive is for those who want to stay on and continue the inquiry at the level they have attained at the end of the third day. So it is an opportunity go on out into realms you always had to turn your back on before; and experience whatever arises as contemplation deepens day after day after day. It is a simple and very pure life. You are supported and nourished by the structure and fellowship of the intensive. Your only mandate and concern is to continue opening to the truth and communicating your experience, whatever it is. Personally I love long Intensives. I love having the time to sink deeply into a contemplating mode of life. I love living the quest; day after day in a company of committed others. Forcing and striving are replaced by acceptance and curiosity. Anxiety and pressure give way to the spaciousness of unfolding reality. Devotion and surrender arise. One's intention is simply to welcome the Truth whatever it is; however it is! To me this is the essence of the work. It is an intrinsically meaningful, satisfying and appropriate activity. There is the opportunity to face, understand and resolve issues in a deep way. Long Enlightenment Intensives are not easy. There are barriers and crises to face. But I feel they genuinely benefit those who choose to do them. They involve a deep confrontation with illusion and a level of work which can profoundly affect participants' lives. The Contemplation Intensive is a affordable introduction to the Enlightenment Intensive Way of self discovery. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided, but not lodging. You go home at night, get up early and come back in the morning. We will start every day at 7am and run till about 10:30 pm.
