Known issues

Here it is the list of new features and defects fixed for each release.

Version 3.3.0.1

  1. Fix: loading user activity sometimes had a "file not found" error.

  4. Fix: when user pressed quickly more than 128 keys sometimes the recorded keystrokes were lost.
  5. Fix: when loading user activity from a remote computer while on that computer Web activity was recorded, sometimes "invalid argument" error was displayed and connection was lost.

  1. Fix: some http requests were not recorded if they contain non printable characters. The log file contained this error: "Failed to load XML Document 0x1".
  2. Fix: detect logon even if the system refuses to provide session information. The log file contained this error: Cannot enumerate sessions 0x800706a6 (the error code may be different).

  1. If the date/time between server and client is not synchronized, display an appropriate message.

  4. > Disable OK button on warning dialog before logoff (in this way avoid accidentally logoff if user presses this button).

  1. Fix: The password for bonus could not be entered since the "Bonus request" window was constantly loosing the focus.
  2. Fix: The warning window about logoff was constantly acquiring the focus, thus obstructing the user to enter data into other application windows to save (such as the File Save dialog).

  1. Fix: The activity history could not be loaded when Web activity was recorded using LSP method and "Load info" button was pressed (an error message was displayed).

  1. Fix: On some computers (depends of what sofwtare is installed), Internet access was blocked if Kaspersky antivirus was installed or MS Outlook or VPN were unable to connect.
  2. Fix: The list of aplications for one user is including now existing processes at login time.

  1. Ability to block Web sites according to lists which can be user specific and for all users.
  2. Record activity for system account ("NT AUTHORITY\System").
  3. Recording Web activity is now also available under MS Vista Operating System.
  4. Fix: The setup program was not automatically start an NT service - a reboot after setup now is NOT required anymore.

Version 2.2.0.4

  1. Fix: when file sharing was not enabled in LAN or there was no LAN, then the connection to the same computer could not be established using named pipes.

  1. Column "Is Admin" was added in All users panel. 
  2. Fix: sometimes activity could not be logged (the .dat file was corrupted by OS)
  3. User audit is updated even for current logged user (when saved).
  4. Fix: new value for port number inserted in Connect dialog was ignored.

  1. Logon to network on remote named pipe only when needed.
  2. On network error display error message and advise for re-connect.
  3. Record session events even after logoff.

  1. Taskbar notifications about user activity on remote computer.
  2. Fix: trial version was not functional for 14 days.
  3. Fix: connection using named pipes didn't work between computers which are not in the same trusted domain.

  1. Ability to connect to remote computers using three different  ways: TCP sockets, named pipes and shared folder.
  2. Receive live update about the user activity on remote computer.
  3. Ability to install the server only and run the license wizard remotely from the computer which runs the client.
  4. Fix: in Activity page the last logon information is displayed even if computers have different languages

  1. Add ability to send instant messages to the users on remote computers.
  2. It is possible now to force logoff anytime for the users on remote computers.

  1. Fix setup program to upgrade from a previous version
  2. Fix: If user connects to a remote computer with a specific user name and password, and if the user name and/or password are incorrect, an error message is displayed telling that user name and/or password are incorrect.

  1. Renamed from "DM Parent Administrator" to "DM Time & Watch Administrator"
  2. Ability to watch user activity and enforce time schedule remotely from any computer in the same network.
  3. The user status (logged in, locked, disconnected etc.) is updated "live"
  4. Fix: when a bonus request is granted, the logoff warning dialog displayed to the end of the time was not displayed.

Version 1.1.1.1

  1. If a bonus is granted for an user which did not have any other available time, the warning time is adjusted to the value set for allowed time.

  1. Export was raising an exception when % was present in URL
  2. Export current session always could export the session data and not Web and application data.

Known issues

1. When all these conditions are met:

then the connection to the server might be refused and an attempt to reconnect using the same method may trigger an access violation exception (crash). This is because the Web filtering application is injecting in our DmNetTmWtchAdmin.exe their winsflt.dll (without our consent and knowledge) and then when the code inside this DLL is executed the crash occurs.

Workarounds:

2. On some computers Internet Explorer crashes after "Dm Net Time & Watch Administrator" is installed.

This happens due to some incopatibility between "Dm Net Time & Watch Administrator" and some Internet Explorer addons.

Solution: uninstall the "Dm Net Time & Watch Administrator" then install again using a different method to record Web activity. There are 3 methods - press "Help" button on setup wizard for details.
