You can reward an user with extra time on computer. The bonus time is granted as an addition to an already scheduled time. However, the bonus does not allow a restricted user to work outside the time interval (if such interval was set on schedule page ).
Example: A restricted user is allowed to use the computer time for 30 minutes between 6:00PM and 8:00PM. At 6:30PM the user logins and ask for a 45 minutes bonus. If he inserts correctly the password, the bonus time will be granted and the user can access the computer for 30+45 minyutes = 1 hour and 15 minutes. This means until 7:45PM.
But if the same user logins at 7:00PM asking the same bonus, the bonus time will be adjusted to 30 minutes (7:PM + 30 min + 30 min = 8:00PM) since the user cannot stay on computer after 8:00PM. The unused portion from bonus time (15 minutes) is lost.
If the user attempts to login outside the time interval and claims a bonus, the bonus will be lost and no time is granted.
To remove a bonus select it in the list then press "Delete selected
bonus" button .
When you press "Save" or "Save All" buttons on main toolbar, the bonuses are saved.
The "Used on" column is empty if the restricted user did not use the bonus yet. For an used bonus, it is displayed the time when the restricted user introduced the correct password and the bonus time was granted.
The Comment column contains a text of your choice.
The restricted user will see:
Once the bonus was used, it cannot be re-used second time. You can remove all
used bonuses using the button "Delete all used bonuses" .
The bonus is useful to reward a child for doing his homework. Example:
This is an example of math homework:
|
453 / 7 = 64 remainder 5 | find multiples of 3 between 22 and 35 |
The correct results from each math exercise separated by space form the password:
2072 64 5 24 27 30 33
You have to solve the math exercises to find the password when you create a bonus. The child should not see your results. The passwords are not displayed if you keep the check-box "Reveal passwords" clear. This check-box is hidden if you did not log in Windows as Administrator (a non - Administrator user cannot see the passwords).
