Bellio - Round Pattern

When Silvia lived in London, England, a friend of hers, who was an antique collector and restorer, used to go treasure hunting in the Thames River during low tide and sift for precious articles. Silvia was gifted with one of his treasures, a lady's copper belt buckle that was from the early 1800's. Silvia named this pattern 'Bellio' to honor her mother, via her maiden name, for all her endless help and care at the studio.

Marco (Foglia) - Leaf Pattern

This single leaf design derives from an old Italian lamp base which Silvia rescued and restored. The leaf pattern was named 'Marco' after her husband, for his endless patience and support.

Pinoli - Floral Pattern

The name 'Pinoli' (which means pine nut in Italian), is the last name of Silvia's godparents. When she was very young they gave her a beautiful jewelry box, which she adored for the detailed floral metal lace. This detailing inspired Silvia then and now, and so she chose to revive the pattern in clay.
