I prefer that you purchase and pre-wash
your material and send it to me, so that you know exactly what to expect
and you can really be unique. :-)
What you want to look for is something sturdy like a cotton, or upholstery
fabric. If your fabric of choice seems a bit thin,
that's ok, I can beef it up with interfacing. A little
stretchiness is just fine. I've used flannel for my personal covers; the
leopard, above, and camouflage, below, are flannel. They have turned out great and are wearing very well.
You can scotch guard the covers,
but I don't advise you leaving them on for days at a time in rainy
weather. I remove mine (it takes 2 seconds) when I'm not riding the
bike and it's somewhere that it could get damp.
You can wash the finished cover according
to the washing directions of the fabric that you choose, so make sure you
take note of that when buying fabric. (which you'll be doing, because
you'll be pre-washing it before you send it.)
*If you get upholstery fabric, there is no
need to pre-wash, but do inquire as to how you will clean it in the
future.

Ready-made covers (if I have any available) will be slightly more, depending
on the fabric cost and complexity of design.

-For Vino covers: your trim colour preference, OR send 1 yard/meter of piping
trim per cover if there is something special you would like (please
discuss this with me if you're unclear on what type of trim to get, I
have a picture I can show you)
