Mark and Michelle's Camping Trip

Earlier this August we did the annual family camping trip. We spent 3 days at Summit Lake - just south of Nakusp in BC's West Kootenay's. Brave enough to take part this year were Michelle's parents (Rick and Jo), Michelle's brother Jon and his wife Patti, Patti's parents (Al and Marg) and Mark's mom Marlies and her friend Richard.

Misty Sunrise over Summit Lake "Marg…that was blanche the beans, right? What's that?" Why did we feed Jon beans last night?! Alpine Meadows on the hike up Idaho Peak. Marlies and Richard take in the views atop Idaho Peak. Hey, how about we tackle that peak over there next? Ha! Ha! Jon gets to clean the Bar-B-Q grills! What did you people cook on these grills??!! We drank HOW MUCH beer on this trip?! The sun hasn't quite set on our camping trip yet…still time for one more beer! As if that wasn't a big enough dose of visiting with the relatives for Mark, we then headed to Calgary, Alberta to visit Michelle's Granny, Great-Granny and Aunt & Uncle and their four boys. And THEN we were off to Edmonton, Alberta for a family wedding! Time to pose! Granny needs an updated photo for her fridge. I have to be nice to my brother-in-law…he's much stronger than me. I bought him drinks all night long :-) Four Generations. Great Granny, Granny, Michelle and Rick. This makes the drive all the way to Calgary worth while.
