......This picturesque waterfront cottage snuggles against giant fir & cedar trees and the view from the large front deck looks over Percy Anchorage near the entrance to False Narrows. Marine life abounds at all times of the year. Sea otters, seals, sea lions, eagles, sea birds of all types and resident Pileated Woodpeckers ensure there is always something new to see. You can spend hours watching the sunsets and the boats going by from the jetty which extends out over the water or you can tie up your own boat to the floating wharf and paddle ashore. A large level grassy area directly in front of the cottage is ideal for small children or to set up the badminton net or play horseshoes. Vaulted ceilings with convent windows on the gable ends, skylights in the roof, and a covered rear porch make this retreat snug in all weather. Gravel roads, ideal for walking, extend from one end of the island to the other with lots to see along the way. Mudge Island can also be reached by 5 minute water taxi ride from Green Wharf on Gabriola Island which is serviced by BC Ferries. Taxi service from the BC Ferry terminal to Green Wharf on Gabriola can be arranged. Small boat moorage is available for an additional fee. Call ahead to confirm availability and costs.

Facilities: 2 bedrooms, plus bed in loft. Full bathroom with tub/shower. Large open plan kitchen/living/dining area, full kitchen with double sink, electric fridge and stove as well as a wood burning stove for those who want to try. Some cutlery, dishes, pot & pans etc. provided. Washer/dryer, telephone, colour television with VCR, am/fm radio with cassette player, patio furniture, propane BBQ.

Sleeping: 2 bedrooms plus loft, single bed in loft, double beds in bedrooms.
