Interior Minimeet Bursaries.
A piper or a drummer under 21 may win a $300.00
bursary to attend a piping or drumming school of their choice. This money must
not be used for any other reason.
Bursaries
are provided by the Kelvern Celtic Society. Some memorial bursaries are
also presented through KCS.
Students chosen to get bursaries must have the
highest marks and must have competed three times in the Competitions. If there are no competitors who have
competed three times, the highest marks of those who have competed twice will
win.
No student can win a KCS bursary more than twice
in his competition life with IMM.
Bursaries change over time. Sometimes, a person who gives Kelvern money
for a memorial bursary decides to withdraw the donation and maybe Kelvern will
take over supplying that bursary. And
maybe they won't. We use whatever
bursaries we can get.
The above rules are what has been used for the
last 18 years.
