The community of folk dancers spans the globe; people of all ages and cultures who share a love of music, dance and folk traditions. Here are some sources of dance steps, music and information about other dance groups, teachers and traditions.



Dance Descriptions

There are many web sites which include international folk dance descriptions. These are a good way to remind yourself of the dance steps if you have already learned the dance and have the music.


Ethnic Dance Chicago

A site run by Paul Collins has a sampling of international folk dance music that you can play back as well as a lot of other information and links reflecting Paul's interests, such as information on square and contra dancing, minidisk players, events and information about Chicago, the Door County Folk Dance Festival, folk dancing in the schools, etc.
