Introducing Zoey March 30, 2003
It took about four months for us to decide on getting another cat. We picked up Zoey from the Humane Society and she instantly became the love of our lives. She has such a unique personality, different in many ways, but sometimes showing the spirits of Sheena and Phoenix. She can have the devil one minute and be a saint the next. We've included some pictures of her below.
Phoenix July, 1993 - November, 2002 On November 14, 2002 Phoenix passed away after suffering for about a year with uncontrollable diabetes. Although he lived a relatively short life he lived a good one in the company of his mom, Deb and adopted Dad, Miles and friend Sheena. Phoenix enjoyed the outdoors, never straying too far from the house, big chicken that he was. His favourite spot was sitting under the lilies as shown in the picture above. Mom, Dad and the vets patiently tried everything possible to control his diabetes to help him live a normal life, but in the end that was not possible. Sleep well. Love Mom and Dad Sheena July, 1982 - December, 2001 On December 6, 2001 Sheena passed away. She will be dearly missed having been part of my life for almost 20 years and Deb's for the last 8 years. I never thought that it could hurt so much to see her go. She was strong right up to the end as she had always been in life. She was our treasure. With her big blue eyes, gentle and talkative way, she is burned into our hearts forever. Sleep well Sheenie-poo our little munchkin. Love Dad, Mom and Phoenix
