PART 1: REVIEW - POLYGON AND NURBS TOOLS
 

- Refreshment to use Poly and NURBS tools.

- Modeling assignment using a reference image
 
 
EXERCISE: Make simple objects and edit them with Maya modeling tools.
OBJECTIVE: - To quickly refresh using Maya to create basic 3D objects.
 
PART 2 - 4: ADVANCED NURBS MODELING - CONVERT NURBS TO POLYGONS
 
- Intro in Maya advanced modeling
- Build outdoor environment with NURBS (build an Island)
- Polygon Island
- UV mapping and 3D Paint Effect
- Polygon Ocean
- Enviro Sky
 
EXERCISE:
- Build an island with NURBS and convert to polygons
- Apply UV map and texture
- Create ocean
- Crete sky and clouds
 
OBJECTIVR: - To get techniques how to create outdoor environment.
 
PART 5 - 6: LOW POLYGON CARTOON CHARACTER MODEL
EXERCISE:
- Low polygon cartoon character
 
 
EXERCISE: Model a cartoon character.
OBJECTIVE: - Practice and improve modeling skills.
 
PART 7 - 10: ADVANCED POLYGON MODELING
  - Use advanced modeling techniques.  
EXERCISE: Model a head with polygon efficiency
OBJECTIVE: - To understand the workflow to create a complex model.
 
PART 11 - 12: MATERIALS, MAPPING AND TEXTURING
 
- Understanding UV coordinates
- Using the UV texture editor

- Creating face/head textures for human(oid) game characters

- Paint photorealistic human face in photoshop
 
EXERCISE: Map and texture the modeled head.
OBJECTIVE: - How to use the UV Texture Editor and Hypershade.
