painted in ink and acrylic paint on heavy weight, acid free watercolor paper, Size: 15 x 20 inches ( 38cm x 51cm).

I noticed that this nude has that kind of earthy femininity of Picasso's nudes and maybe just a hint of Cubism after I painted it. Originally I was actually inspired by some of Modigliani's drawings but since I paint subconsciously and don't look at anything when I paint I never know how a painting is going to end up looking and usually it ends up very different from what it started as... It is a very striking painting/drawing. The ink line brush drawing is spontaneous and raw and very expressive. The acrylic paint is bright and vibrant and gives the painting texture. There are many different shades and tones of turquoise green, lavander and purple, pink, reds, bluish and yellow greens, blues and other colors in the painting. The heavy weight paper shows through in many places providing additional texture and interest. This painting is on paper so you will have to have it framed under glass (it is sold without a frame). You can get quite a different 'look' with different frames - see some examples below.
