Eugène Pelland - Celina Clermont Eugène Pelland

Eugene Pelland with his daughter Odelide or Anysie.

Though the above old picture identifies the person as being that of Anysie, most
of the evidence points to it being that of Odelide -future spouse of John Desjardins who lived in Terrace, British Columbia.

Eugène Pelland was born August 15, 1836. He was the son of Alexis Martin dit Pelland, born March 10, 1803 and of Julie Boucher. He married Célina Dubord, dit Clermont on January 22, 1867 in Berthier, Quebec, the daughter of Pierre Dubord and Agnès Guibault. Eugene was a pioneer of Ste. Agathe. He and his wife Celina came to Ste. Agathe around 1881.
