Pierre Letain

 

born on May 1, 1788, the only son of Jean Jacques Letain and his second wife Anne-Marie Delobbe, was the direct ancestor (father) of Pierre Ignace Letain who immigrated with his sons Jean Ernest and Jean Baptiste to Canada in 1892, as well as those still living in Belgium who were born with the Letain name, as well as those living in France (Adrien Letain and his daughters Berth and Suzanne. Pierre married Jeanne Thérese Baudoin on November 29, 1809, who was born at Chassepierre (Laiche), Belgium and died on April 10, 1864. From that marriage union were born seven children:

  1. Elizabeth (1814-1831)

  2. Marie Marguerite (1816-1831)

  3. Jean Pierre Letain, born on March 13, 1820 and died on April 20, 1894

  4. Marie Helene Letain (1822-?)

  5. Pierre Felix Letain (1825-1915)

  6. Anne Joseph Virginie Letain (1827-1901)

  7. Pierre Ignace Letain (1830-1906
