Jean Jacques Husson
Ancestry of the Hussons
It is unsure where the Hussons originated from. The earliest records that I have found place them in Belgium. The parents of Jean Joseph Husson are given as Jean Baptiste Husson, unskilled worker (manoeuvre) and Jeanne-Marie Laval, housewife (ménagère).
Jean Joseph Husson
The marriage record of Jean Joseph Husson and Elizabeth Clotilde Joniaux indicates that he was married on November 5, 1860. It also states that he was aged twenty-four, at the time, which would make his birth around 1836. It also states that he was an unskilled laborer (journalier) and that his wife Elizabeth was without profession. However, the birth of his grand-daughter Marie-Delphine, through his daughter Marie Adeline, identifies the latter as the daughter of Jean Joseph Husson-blacksmith (forgeron). It also states that his father was Jean Baptiste Husson. Jean Baptiste’s birth record indicates that he was born on June 25 or 21? (difficult to understand) in the year 1806 at Laiche, Belgium. The record states that Jean Baptiste’s parents were Jacques Husson and Anne Marie Jaquet. The record also states that the declaration of the birth was done in the presence of Jacques Letain, forest warden or rural policeman? (garde champêtre).
Married Marie Elizabeth Clotilde Joniaux on November 5, 1860 at Chassepierre.
Clotilde Joniaux was the daughter of Thomas Joniaux, a joiner (menuisier) by trade and of Marie Thérèse Hingot, housewife (ménagère), residing at Azy, a small hamlet? About one kilometre north of Laiche.
